Connecting external DAC to Node 130 via USB. No sound !!
Beantwortet2 Personen folgen
I've been using the tube DAC in my Canor CD2,.1 CDP/DAC into my Node 130- using the coaxial with no issues at all. I wanted to try it with USB as this is what Canor advise you do when using the DAC with a streamer.
I bought the USB 2.0 lead and connected it up as per the instructions. The Canor is showing on the Node and it has defaulted to it and the Canor is recognising the tracks as the bit rate changes on the screen depending on what tune is playing. So it all looks like it has been set up right but no music is playing.
The USB lead is a bottom of the range Audioquest, so nothing fancy but totally adequate for the job.
Anyone else experienced this issue when connecting a DAC to a Node via USB and can offer any advice?

I downloaded the manual and searching the PDF could find no mention of using a streamer but does clearly state…
“USB - By selecting this input, it is possible to connect CD 2.10 to a PC as a USB Audio Class 2.0 soundcard.”
So, ignore the USB out on the NODE and continue to use the coaxial output.

Thanks, I spoke to Canor, they stated it should be possible. I need to do a firmware update on the DAC apparently.
