Powernode Blues
BeantwortetI have both a Powernode 2 and a T778!
T778 runs great (hard wired via cat 6a cable)
Powernode recently is a nightmare - music starts then stops - then starts again - most annoying!
Wi-fi is great - I have a Synology mesh system, with an MR2200ac right next to the Powernode. A cheap Toshiba Smart TV with Netflix, iplayer etc. runs flawlessly in same room.
I have switched the device on and off, reset it and finally I turned it off for a couple of days after which it temporarily started running OK again.
Online pundits claim the capacitors in the unit need replacing (device is seven plus years old)
Do the Bluesound crew concur with this advice? If not what are my options?

Music starting and stopping is almost always related to network throughput. To be sure, please send our Support Crew a log file by choosing the POWERNODE as the current player, then selecting Settings, Send Support Request in the BluOS App.

Hi David, I also have an MR2200ac (nice little router for testing) but use Unifi mainly. The MR2200ac does work very well and incredibly reliable, do give your POWERNODE a reserved IP address and configure the Router and points to perform a weekly reboot during the night. I would also stay clear of cat6a cables and stick to 5e certified. The other thing is to also make sure the router / point is at least a meter away otherwise it’s a bit like being shouted at.
