Vault (2i) in Roon

Have been enjoying my Powernode 2i and Vault 2i for several years and decided to integrate with Roon. Really enjoying the interface and the additional integration with my Tidal account. After reading about preferred Roon setups I decided to purchase a Roon Nucleus One and add an on-board WD 2 TB SSD. The various forums seemed to not advise using the Vault 2i as a NAS, due to potential delays, etc. As a result, I moved my hi-res library, along with a number of CD rips over to the Nucleus One SSD to ensure better response.
I'm now trying to determine if there is any use now for my Vault 2i, other than as a CD ripper. Even as a "Roon Ready" device, I'm not sure if it serves any purpose at this point. Am I missing something?

As an easy to use ripper it’s a brilliant device, just pop in a CD and wait, also hooked up in another room to an amplifier it would serve as another area of your home to playback music either using Roon or BluOS, there is probably somewhere you would want music.
