Powernode 2iv2 3,5mm Phone output dead. Fixable?
BeantwortetHey! My Powernode 2iv2 of a few years (out of warranty goes without saying?) decided to cut all output to the headphone channel the other day. It works just fine with the speaker output, but getting nothing to the 3,5 even after latest firmware update and several reboots. Took it apart to check for obvious swollen capacitors and found nothing that stands out, though I'm a complete novice.
The time it stopped working was after i put my phones down one time. I also cant exclude possible strain on the jack then.
Could it simply be that the port itself broke? The unit turns off speaker output when i put in the phones still, but no output as i said..
Would really appreciate any advice! Thought of getting something new over this sucks :(
Some extra context. Pics from inside below too.

I've used the unit almost exclusively for headphones through the years.

Mostly used 35ohm, sensitivity 92,5 dB HE-400 phones with it. Usually on highest/close to highest amplificiation

The amplifier has occasionally behaved funny. Output lost most mid-range content and only put out some high and low frequency parts of media played. That usually went away with a reboot of the powernode combined with unjacking the 3,5 mm cable once or twice.
