New Node 2021 purchase & problems accessing my music
BeantwortetI just purchased a new Node 2021. Let me first state I bought this to stream my own Flac music library in one location of my house only. Setup was a pain. It didn't recognize my wireless home network, so I then hardwired it to an ethernet cord. OK. Then tried (many many times) to manually add the path to my PC external hard drive. No success, total waste of time. I have absolutely NO interest in streaming sites, radio etc. which I'm able to stream using my IOS app controller. So currently I have an expensive brick. What are my options for playing from my own library... Can I hard wire my hard drive via USB? Can I use a memory stick? If I can't get this resolved I'm returning it. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Hi Rob, a memory stick plugged into the rear of the NODE is a good way to gain access to your music and probably the simplest method. Bluesound support can help you connect to the share on your PC or if you have a NAS (best solution), again they can help.
In the BluOS App please select Settings, Send Support Request, so the Bluesound Support Crew can review the log file and take a closer look.

OK, thanks for the info! So an NTFS Hard drive direct connection via usb wouldn't work?

Give it a try but have a look here…

NTFS HDD connected via USB should work nicely, as long as it does not need more than 5V DC 1.0A (or has its own external power supply). I used a 3TB HDD without issues.
As you have your node connected through ethernet, you can access the settings to configure wifi via Settings - Player - Wifi.
For sharing music on your PC, have a look at below article. It is best to set a reserved address for the PC in the router first, so the PC always gets the same IP address.
