Saving different pressings/releases of the same album
Beantwortet2 Personen folgen
I have multiple versions of albums on cd that I would like to rip without them overwriting the already existing version on the hard drive.
As an example, I have an original cd release of an album and a remastered version of that album and I would like to rip both to the hard drive. Or another example, I have a stereo version of an album and a mono version and would like to copies of both versions of the album. Currently if a copy of an album already exists on the hard drive any subsequent version of the album copied will overwright the existing version.
It would be nice if the software could differentiate between versions/pressings of the same album so multiple versions of the same album can be copied and kept.
Thanks,
Brett

Hi Brett
This is not a "BluOS" issue as much as it is a Digital Music metadata issue. As in; it is not unique to any online digital streaming service. You may not when you listen to a streaming service such as Spotify or TIDAL, they also flag 'Remastered' in the title for that very reason. You will have to alter the metadata with a tag (Remastered) in the metadata Album Title.
Here is a start to investigating the solution long-term; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360042352294
