Unsolloicuted advertisement on Pulse flex

I own a pulse flex for more than 5 years and happy user so far. Located in Switzerland, I am tuned only to French speaking radio. In my first radio hearing, an unsolicited advertisement of about 20 secs is played before having my radio stream. The Pulse flex is power plugged all time. The ad is not played again during the same day. I tried to reset iPulse Flex but still happen. Have you encountered such a behavior?

  I have a Node2 with some radio broadcasters on presets. I too noticed in the morning, when I start a radio preset,  the stream always starts with a short advertisement. I guess it's part of the earning model of TuneIn who's servers send the stream.

  Hello Alain DW,

  Following a series of tests, I have the following: A "Global World" add for connection. I have checked within my "BluOS Controller" app (version 4.8.0)  installed on my MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1. I listen French radio like France Culture and France Musique via TuneIn. Still is this service that cast unsollicited add? Will I be able to hear those web radio not have TuneIn? 
  I wish to understand where the add is coming from and I felt disappointed with such a behavior. It was not the case few months ago! 
  Any idea where to look for?

  Just another user here. As far as I understand, TuneIn injects ads at the start of a stream.

  If you connect directly with the webradio, using its address, you should avoid the ads from TuneIn.

  You could try using an address like http://icecast.radiofrance.fr/francemusiquelabo-midfi.mp3 in the BluOS to connect directly. Don't know for certain if you avoid the ads this way.
