Connecting NODE to external DAC
BeantwortetI have a recent NODE N130 connected to a Benchmark DAC 3L and streaming Qobuz. To bypass the NODE's internal DAC, Bluesound advised using a coax connection. I have done so but it only delivers a 16 44 signal. I was also advised that if I use a USB connection, it will not by pass the NODE DAC. I want to use the NODE for streaming only with the Benchmark for high resolution. The NODE software is fully updated. Any recommendations?

Hi David
Your COAX connection is correct but log out of Qobuz and then log back in using 24/192 in the streaming options. Details can be found here; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000264028-How-do-I-ensure-Qobuz-is-playing-CD-Quality-on-BluOS

Hallo
Can I use an optical cable to connect to the DAC/Amp to node n130?
Does it work the same? Does it maintain the audio quality? thank you

You can use the analogue, coaxial or optical outputs. If you use the analogue then you are using the DAC inside the NODE, if using the coaxial or optical output then you are using the DAC inside the DAC / Amp. Use your ears and decide what connection sounds best to you.

Thanks for the answer,
But which one is the best, coaxial or optical? or is it the same? I have an optical cable, but if coaxial is better I will buy a cable.
thank you

In theory no difference on the digital outputs, your DAC may however might be different.
