Artwork Anomaly
BeantwortetApologies if this has been covered before, I couldn't find it in the list of previous posts.
I ripped a CD which didn't display the artwork -- not surprising because it wasn't what you'd call 'mainstream'. I therefore found a copy on the web, made sure its size fit the criteria for pixels and Kbs, saved it as Folder.jpeg and added it to the album's folder on the Vault. (I've done this several times before.)
Having done both a quick and a long (20 minutes) reindexing, the result is the same. The artwork appears fine in the app on my laptop but not in the app on my phone.
Any reason why it should appear on one but not the other? Any suggestions for how to get it to appear in the phone app? All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Try the reload artwork option in the BluOS App, failing that the “folder.jpeg” might not actually be a jpeg and had been renamed at some point, desktop will display but phone / tablet will not.
Sometimes just deleting the App and reinstalling works wonders (it won’t delete anything on the players).
Edit…
With albums that I don’t find artwork on Google I just scan them and save as a jpg, stored away in my album artwork folder for prosperity.

Isn't the required file extension .jpg not .jpeg?

Fairly sure the folder is a jpeg, it was saved as that from Preview.
I'll try the reload artwork option first.
I guess you mean deleting the phone app rather than the desktop app (where the artwork displays correctly) -- if the reload doesn't work I'll try that and report back ...
Thanks for the suggestion.

If all else fails rename to cover.jpg as that overrules everything else.

The 'reload artwork' option has worked, many thanks. I'll bear all the other suggestions in mind if anything similar happens in future.
Best wishes.
