    Hi Hector

Starting with the introduction of the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ we have moved away from the soft vulcanised cover. Your NODE ICON will not include it and use a more hard shell.

    That’s certainly good news.

Hi Hector, just to comment from the product team. Thanks so much for your feedback.

As Tony mentioned, we've moved away completely from the "rubber paint" finished, starting with products released in 2021. The NODE ICON specifically that you're looking at is mostly aluminum and glass - it has a really high-end finished feeling to it. We think it's the best-in-class product, so it needed a best-in-class aesthetic treatment as well.

I understand your concern about the user controls being on top of the product, it can be a nuisance for those with cats. For the NODE ICON in particular we wanted to keep the front panel very clean and tidy, the 5" display focused on musical information and album artwork. That's also the reason we have the headphone outputs on the side panels instead of the front. You're feedback is appreciated though, and we will continue to think about button placement for future products.

The USB-C on the NODE NANO is for power. The NODE ICON requires quite a bit more from its power supply, and so we use a classic AC connector for this product. The NODE ICON does have USB-C for audio input, which is an all-new feature for Bluesound and one that we think will be used a lot for streaming from PC.

Thanks again - happy listening no matter which product you decide to go with!

    -Matt
