Controllers cannot find player
BeantwortetYes, I've read everything on the support database. And a bunch on Reddit.
10 years of successfully using node and now IQ speakers across Linksys, Google, and now Eero routers. Until this week.
IQ speakers glowing beautiful blue. They are visible on router as connected. IOS apps cannot find them. Neither iPhone running 18 nor iPad running 15.
Tried:
1) Factory reset player/speakers. Worked for initial setup. 15 minutes later, apps could not find them. Still glowing blue. Still connected per router.
2) Reset router, players, and IOS apps in sequence as recommended. No help.
3) Tried downloading the OSX app to my Mac. Voila, it worked! For a day. Next day, it can't find those blue-glowing, connected speakers either.
Since this has all worked flawlessly for a decade, I have to figure SOMEBODY'S software update screwed it up. I doubt it is Apple, as it works equally poorly across platforms/OS releases. I have no way of knowing update history of the IOS controller app or the IQ player. I did see the EERO updated itself October 14, and it is possible I had not used Bluesound since then.
From reading and thinking, I've seen:
* IPv6 issues. Should I turn it off on router?
* I cannot run ethernet to my player. Should I set up one of those devices that connects to wireless network and provides ethernet port so the player is (sort of) wired?
* Should I get another Eero mesh node and install near player so I can ethernet into that?
* What else to try?

Hi Thomas
I see you have opened a request with our Support Crew - They will take it form here.

Sorry, another possibility:
* Set up DHCP reservation for player.
