Day/night performance differences

Hi John
You have answered your own question. Your son’s white noise machine is using up local bandwidth in your home.
Check out www.bluesound.com/network101 for tips how to troubleshoot signal strength in your home after your high speed service has arrived to your router.
You can also select Help, Send Support Request in the app so our Support Cree can provide more 1 on 1 troubleshooting after reviewing your log files.

Thanks Tony, but as I say in the comment, the Node is on a wired ethernet connection so signal strength isn't a consideration.

...but bandwidth usage, NAT tables and collisions are... again, send us a log so we can check

It does seem odd, as the sleep sounds I would imagine are just an mp3 and shouldn't have much an effect (no greater than you and your wife working during the day). You probably tried this already, but if you stop and start the Echo music, does that correspond to Qobuz working better or not? What if you try the Echo during the day, do you run into issues then?
Does Qobuz do this if you stream from a computer/mobile device as well (ie using the Qobuz app itself, which may cache things differently than BluOS)? Or if you stream from the computer/mobile and bluetooth it over to the Bluesound? (Not suggesting this as a long-term solution, just trying to isolate where the problem is occurring)

@adam r - yes, stopping the Echo stream doesn't help, which is partly why I thought it was unlikely to be connected to the issue. The Node is the only device I have that has this problem, I can stream to it via Bluetooth from Android phone and from iPad without any problems with playback. Apple TV streams fine.

I’ve experienced this before. At my place the Eco mode on my TP Link Deco’s was on from 00:00-6:00h, but an update changed this to the whole day. Maybe you have a similar option enabled in your network?
