I can't speak about Spotify or Amazon, but I can say that you can download, install and run the BluOS controller app on multiple devices, and you can also run the app on several devices simultaneously, even to control the same Bluesound device.

I use the app to control my Bluesound Vault 2, and I have it installed on two mobile phones plus my iPad and two Windows PCs.

I can control my Bluesound Vault 2 using any of these devices, and if more than one instance of the app is running, the Vault itself updates the other instances to reflect what I am doing.

So, if I adjust volume using my iPad, the volume slider also moves on the other instances of the app to reflect this change.

What I don't have is multiple Bluesound players, so I can't comment upon how much flexibility there is in terms of controlling multiple Bluesound players using different instances of the controller app. I'm sure, however, that another user or even Bluesound themselves will be able to comment on this aspect.

For now, why not just download and install the controller app on your good lady's chosen device (her phone?), run the controller on both your device and her device and try controlling your Bluesound player from both instances of the controller? For instance, change the volume or edit the current playlist on one device and see what happens to the display on the other device.
