Dual Powernodes in stereo pair
BeantwortetI have a pair of speakers that aren't very sensitive that I'd like to feed with more power to improve low volume listening. They're NOT bi-ampable, sadly. Is there a way to drive each speaker with a stereo pair of Powernodes and draw more power per channel than by using a single amp? Thanks, Rob.

Hi Seppi, thanks for the quick response. I forgot to mention that I already own one Powernode and am toying with the idea of adding a second so that I don't have to trail cables around my fireplace.

Could two powernodes work properly?
This is a rather different configuration than a pre-amp with two monoblocks, where everything is connected electronically.
However, two powernodes communicate over the LAN, which by the nature of networking might cause the left and right Powernode to be out of sync. AFAIK the human ear/brain is very sensitive to L-R channels being out of sync.

Hi Gerben
This is the exact reason BluOS has it down to 100ths of a millisecond. We are confident two POWERNODES will stay in perfect sync when stereo-paired. Please feel free to purchase with confidence.

Hi Tony,
That is impressive, great to know.
However, please note it is Rob who is considering this setup, not me. I was merely wondering if it would work reliably.
But even if BluOS would have it down to a single nanosecond, I would not consider getting any further NAD or Bluesound equipment. Not until BluOS gets their act together and fixes the long list of annoying bugs. IMHO the UX of BluOS is at its lowest level in the years I have been using it.

Hi Gerben
Thanks for the feedback, I have asked a Support Crew Specialist to reach out to you. They will be in touch via e-mail.

Thanks for confirming. If I was to run each speaker with a separate Powernode, should anything be done with the unused speaker terminals on the amps or can they just be left alone?

Hi Rob
I am escalating this to one of our Support Crew Specialists. They will reach out to you and walk you through it. Look for an e-mail from them.
