Pulse Flex bluetooth interface

I have recently purchased a Chromecast device which can connect to an amp/speaker via Bluetooth.

However, while it will connect via Bluetooth to my Powernode, it will not connect to one of my Pulse Flex speakers.

Any explanation please?
