Missing album art in folders

With the last Bluesound update, when selecting music via the folders, the album art is not shown anymore when selecting a (sub)folder. Only the music in that subfolder is shown.

Remembering mainly the covers of CD's/music this makes searching for certain recordings much more difficult.

Can the album cover be re-introduced in the folder-structure?

    Album Artwork has never been part of folder view. Folder View ignores all metadata.

    AEK seems right, Tony wrong. When using folder mode

    • Android app 4.2.4 shows (small) cover art left of the tracks
    • Android app 4.4.1 does not show this cover art

    See attached two screenshots, see below two images.

    This is yet another bug in Android 4.4.x, reported already two myself, seen some others mentioned in this community and now this one. BluOS / Bluesound quality assurance is seriously flawed.

    Well spotted, that statement is clearly wrong as well. Though they have removed the cover art, we can still see track title, artist and album title. Maybe this is planned for the next update, showing zero metadata but only the filename?

    Indeed. Although I started to , as Gerben showed via a better screenshot (I was just taking a picture of my not-yet-updated old tablet),the folder structure did showed the album art in the past. I was already starting to doubt myself ....

    So, again the kind request to bring this back.

    @Tony-W, as shown above, the folder-view did showed the album art in the past. Can you comment on this and is there the option to get this back in the (near) future?

    As far as I can remember artwork has always been shown in folder view on my android device.

    Also artwork is still visible on BluOS Controller 4.4.0

    Hi Eelco,

    You can get it back right now by downgrading the BluOS Android app to 4.2.4, which "fixes" several other bugs introduced in 4.4.x.
    Then you shall have to untick the "Enable auto-update" option for the app in Play Store as well.
