Service unavailable Android "Could not load content"
BeantwortetI have 1 album on my NAS that gives the message "Service unavailable" and then "Could not load content" on my Android pone.
Also tried to put the album on the usb stick.
Even downloaded an "iligal" copy from internet, same message
But when I acces the album with the windows BluOS controller, it works fine.
How should I fix this? I have BluOS App 4.4.1 Build 2967 on my phone.

Same problem, but with the Apple app. Have to approach library via workaround as decribed by Timcognito. I do only have older classical albums and have the same issue with several albums, even with double cd albums, of which one of them can be read normally but the other one only via the described workaround

I'm new to the Bluesound Community Posts and I was searching for comments on how to fix a problem where I search for an artist of album and I get a "no service" error. Around 95% of the 1000+ albums/artist on my SSD (USB) drive search and play correctly. But a handful will not.
I had already found a good workaround that fixed this completely for me.
I reset my control sources (Android tablets and Windows computers) to an earlier Bluesound software setting. Bluesound advised me : Please note that we DO NOT encourage downgrading the software, as these versions do not have the features and fixes that current software/firmware have. But they also told me: We do apologize that we do not have an immediate solution to your issue. Earlier they told me that they "don't have any old software downloads available and no one else had them either". That is not true.
I really love my Bluesound Node, but I want it to work on every album and artist in my collection...just like it did when I bought it several years ago... The music it won't search now, worked fine in the past. What changed? Only the downloaded BluOS software version....
If you are using a Windows computer, search File Explorer - Downloads - BluOS Controller. I have BluOS downloads from as far back as August 2022 and some newer ones since that time (that don't search correctly). I found that all of the old updates worked 100% on my album/artist searches. It was around Nov 2023 that the new OS updates no longer worked for everything I had. I deleted my Blusound sotware (Control Panel) and reloaded it from my old 3.20.5 software and it works fine. You can always delete it and reload the newer updated software again if you aren't happy. But it works perfectly for me on my 2 windows computers and I've used it for over a year since the software "downgrade"..
Android is harder to fix.. I was unable to find any old software downloads in my old tablet files. So I searched the internet and found a site called APK Pure that has lots of old (and free) Android download files for numerous different products. I searched them for Blusound and they had the old software. I downloaded APK and then the Bluesound, and it now works at 100%. I suggest going back to at least 3.20.5 for the best results. Anything newer may give you the same search failure results you already have. Don't forget to delete your newer version first...
I guess I should put in a disclaimer here to advise you that I'm not a software expert and can't guarantee this will fix your search problems or create others for you. I had never used APK before, and so far it has been fine. Every computer or tablet is different and since Bluesound doesn't authorize downgrading their software, perhaps there is something else that will not work as well on the Node? I don't stream music very often, so I don't know if that is not as good with the old software. My main concern is with playing my own USB library. But I can say is that it works perfect now on my Node and the 3 different controllers I use.
One final comment - when you first open your Bluesound app, it will ask you to upload or dismiss their newest software. You will need to decline the update or you will lose your backdated software changes.

Hi Jim
We strongly encourage you not to roll your software back as it will cause further problems. We also work hard to resolve issues when they occur. Please update to BluOS 4.8.7 and your BluOS App 4.8.0 and then help us identify those issues so we may resolve issues for EVERYONE.
Once you have updated to the current models, please select Settings, Send Support Request in the App so our Support Crew can troubleshoot.
Thanks for understanding.
