Delay playback when an amp is waking up from standby
BeantwortetAs an owner of NAD's M33 integrated amplifier and when it's waking up from standby, I want to delay playback of a song from, for instance, the BluOS app or Apple until the amp is ready to play.
Motivation: Imagine that the amp with an integrated BluOS module is on standby. It usually takes 5-6 seconds for the amp to power up from standby before it's ready to play music. But when you use the BluOS app to play song and turn on the amp at the same time, the song plays immediately so that it's already 5-6 seconds ahead when the amp starts playing. That's not so convenient, and it would be better if the song starts play when the amp is ready.

Thank you for your feedback. Rest assured that I will forward this to our development team for future update consideration.

+1. I can't believe such a basic thing is not implemented and you haven't got a response from BluOS Product Management.
Roon has implemented this beautifully. When I start playback to the M33 from Roon, it shows: "Starting playback on your audio device. This might take a moment.". No part of the track is lost.

This is a much wanted fix we need. I would at least need a way to tell if the amp is in standby or not via API so I can at least put some sleep before triggering the play procedure to mitigate this!

I have worked around this nasty bug by introducing sleep time for my iOS/iPadOS apps through automation. Each time BluOS Controller starts it runs my shortcut that basically does Play and then Pause actions and then sleeps for 5 seconds before returning. This way when I play first song, the UX is pleasant.
