how many levels subfolders in the music folder ?

My music is organized by folders for each artist and subfolders for each album as that is how it was organized in my McIntosh ms750.
but i have some music from various artists that i organized into may levels subfolders and they don't show in the search unless i go into the subfolder.
so the questions is how many subfolders levels can you have inside the music folder?
ex: \Music\Various\salsa\Gilberto\
