Soundbar + Spec wattage

Hello I've seen so many web pages including bluesound stating the soundbar plus is 120w, but on the rear of my unit its says 80w.. Could someone explain why please??

  Hi Mark

  The back panel 80W refers to the average power consumed by the Power Supply when used over sustained periods at average listening volumes and is posted as required by law in many regions.

  120W refers to maximum output capability at peak performance.
