How to log in to my account with a radio station
BeantwortetI have been gifted a year's free subscription to Greatest Hits Radio (it plays music instead of adverts and other benefits), I've easily linked it to Alexa, but am trying to find a way to log in to it when playing it through my Node, as it is a channel that appears in TuneIn but I can't find a way to do it.
Is it possible to log in to a radio station account in a similar way to how I would log in to Amazon Music or other streaming service?

Hi Andrew
We do apologise for the inconvenience. Adding a custom radio station by entering a URL and saving it as a favourite was inadvertently removed in BluOS 4.0.
It will be returning in the very near future via a software release.

Thanks, just tried the URL, doesn't look like it works, I'll try asking the radio station if they have any plans to integrate with you.

Unfortunately there is no way to access any of the Bauer Media Premium services (including Greatest Hits Radio Premium) directly through the Bluesound TuneIn facility. You could of course use the GHR app or website on a smartphone and Bluetooth the Premium stream to your Node.

Thanks, good idea.

Hello Tony W, 1 years ago you mentioned that adding a custom radio station by entering a URL and saving it as a favourite
would be returning in the very near future via a software release.
Any idea when this will return?
Kind regards,

This service was restored in the spring of 2024; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360042467894

But it is poorly implemented. No correct name is displayed, just part of the url, and no cover arts or a logo of the broadcaster.
Please remember: The NODE now has a display. Please improve this. Thanks.0 -
When launching the app and navigating to Music, Music Services, TuneIn, Favorites, there is no 'Add Custom Station' to be found. I have iOS App 4.8.1 BluOS 4.8.7. What do I do wrong?

For me it's called: "Adding your own URL".

Here's the thing: Even though you put a custom url in using the controller app, the player still submits the url to TuneIn for permission every time you play it.
That's why you don't see the logos/artwork of the custom station: TuneIn inserts itself between the custom station and the player.
Are they doing this to harvest your playing habits/data? Probably.
Can you opt out? No (they have an opt-out link on their privacy policy, but it just sends you off to Google).
(I know this because I use Pi-Hole, and with TuneIn blocked, no radio stations will play...)

@Olgers
Not on iOS but Android, where I note 2 behaviours:
- no URL defined yet: option to add custom station is in the Favourites screen
- URL(s) already configured: have to select view all to see the add custom station at the end of the URL listIf all does not work, you may add an URL in TuneIn itself and link the (free) account to BluOS, also provides a nice "backup" of your stations, if you have to factory reset BluOS
