No custom radio option for BlueOS on Roksan...alternatives?
BeantwortetHi All,
I recently replaced my powernode with a Roksan Attessa with BlueOS and have noticed there is no longer the option in the BlueOS app (Android 4.2.0 build: 2837) to add a custom station under Tunein favourites.
This is a real pain as Tunein don't allow access to a lot of non UK radio stations (WFMU being one of them, and one I've added as a custom station on my Powernode)
Is there any other way to do this, as this is not supported in non Bluesound devices? I realise Bluetooth is an option but not ideal
Thanks in advance
Also, apologies if wrong topic

Hi Max
Custom URL Streams will be returning shortly. We hope to restore this functionality early in 2024. We do apologise for the inconvenience.

I noted the Roksan Attessa with interest, not least for its support for BluOS. It seems a pity if the implementation is lacking — I also have several stations assigned to TuneIn on my Node, notably the BBC stations that are not natively supported. I had considered the Attessa as a possible replacement for an old but powerful and well-liked Naim multi-box system. I like it but my spouse dislikes the coils of thick signal and mains cabling around the several boxes.

Aforementioned issues aside it's as great amp. I bought it to replace the powernode because I felt my KEF LS50 metas were underpowered. It seems like a big improvement (at least to my ears) and I'm glad I kept the KEFs.

Ah, in that respect the Naim boxes, at least 20 years of age, soldier on. Pump up the volume? No problem! The Node has proved a satisfactory source, giving away nothing to the Naim CD player... or the Linn LP12 turntable!

Yep, looking back I'd always recommend people to get a node and use it with a decent standalone amp.
I also have a REL Tzero that caused me no end of problems connected to my Powernode via HL connection. Funnily enough on the Roksan it sounds beautiful.
Anyway you live and learn (and lose money in the process ;))
