Seek bar is almost unusable in Windows app! Just make it wider already!
BeantwortetWhat is the reasoning for making the seek bar only a couple pixel high on screen?
This requires ridiculous mouse accuracy to hit it.
To make matters worse, there is zero feedback to tell you that you are on it (no highlight or cursor change)!
Also if you end up just a bit high you end up clicking on the list, which might end up playing something else with no way to "undo" or go back!
Is it really too much to ask for usability to be considered over looks in a UI?
While on this subject: why doesn't the app display more information when the window is resized? Even worse, the wider the window the less information is displayed! I have a wide screen and if I maximize the window, I still get only 5 albums shown across but they are so large (almost 900px across) they actually get cut off vertically and I end up with less information displayed than if I make the window a narrow part of my screen, this is seriously backwards and extremely inefficient.
Don't get me started on the scrollbars either! They are a bit wider than the seek bar so you can successfully hit them "most" of the time but still way too narrow and with no feedback either telling you if you are on it or not. They are 6px wide vs 16 wide for windows explorer (and most other windows programs)

Thanks for the feedback Eric.
It has been sent to our Quality Assurance team for review.

Completely agree with all the points above. The 'sizing' of nearly everything (fonts, bars, icons, album tiles...) is an odd mix of poorly chosen AND mixed up sizes, and rarely resizes properly when a window is sized, or even when you 'drill down' from an initial set of choices to the 'View all' option.
BTW this 'sizing' issue is worst in Windows but exist in IOS and Max apps too. For just one example, the main screen on the IOS app has 5 or 6 different font sizes. Some too big, some too small. A choice of three used consistently would look and interface much better.
Like so much in this version, it appears no one with a basic design or quality responsibility reviewed and approved this as ready for release.

The scrollbar width and missing up/down arrows are a long standing issue now.
This has been reported a couple of times before and is said to have been passed to development for further consideration. I'm afraid this may take some time before we see a result, if ever.
