I have been asking for the Amazon podcast function to be included since March 2022.

Still no Amazon Podcasts available. Will this be included in the near future?

Amazon Podcasts are not in the Amazon Music API. We have asked them about this and why..?
That being said we have had conversations about an independent Podcast engine but no details to share at this time. Spotify also has a great Podcast Engine you can use with Spotify Connect or by Bluetooth or AirPlay using your favourite Podcast App.

Strange that Amazon provides podcasts on their App and not otherwise.
I switched from Spotify to Amazon when Spotify was spreading anti vaccine information.
I have a Node that connects directly to the internet so I don't have to use Bluetooth and the problems associated with the poor connectivity etc.
Whoever is to blame for no Amazon Podcasts on Bluesound really doesn't matter.
The 4.0 upgrade has not improved anything for me. Most of what I use, internet radio and music streaming, is the same as before and the upgraded features such as Favorites won't even open on the Windows controller and only accesses TuneIn on Android.
Overall I am very disappointed with the upgrade.
