Cannot connect to the SSD on my mac via WiFi
BeantwortetI bought two BlueSound PowerNode devices over a year ago. A tech remoted into my Mac Mini and set it up so I could stream music from my computer's external SSD to the BlueSound units over the WiFi network in my home. For the most part it worked OK. But 2 weeks ago I bought a new Mac Mini and migrated everything over to it from the old Mini. Unfortunately, I have not been able to connect to my new computer in the BlueSound app. A BlueSound tech remoted into my mac Mini but after an hour he was unable to get the app to see my computer. He entered a series of path names into the Shares window but the Network Shares simply doesnt connect. It's been extremely frustrating. The BlueOS application does "see" my two PowerNodes. The radio station presets do function; music plays from these stations. But no networked music library. I'm at a loss here. Help!

Thank you for your response. I booted up the older Mac Mini, reattached the SSD that was on the new Mac Mini, launched the BlueOS application, entered the new path of this SSD drive (I had recently changed the computer name, the drive name, and the music folder), and the application immediately connected to it. I re-indexed the drive in Help; Diagnostics. That took hours. But ultimately it worked. I can play my music collection using the BlueOS app on my phone. And so now why wont the new Mac Mini recognize the path to this SSD? Any direction/suggestions would be appreciated. They are both running OS Ventura 13.5

I'm not sure I understand. Your initial comment asked if my old Mac Mini can still connect to "the new share" successfully. I presume you mean the old Mac Mini to the SSD. The answer is yes it can/did and so I'm not sure what the "sharing bug" is or how it applies. I want to remove the old Mini entirely from the equation. I want the SSD connected to the new Mini and for that new computer to connect to the BlueSound units using the WiFi network in my home. Thanks in advance.

No; that did not work. I'm losing faith entirely here. The Apple support has been less than ideal and I have now spent many many hours trying to do something that should be simple; entering a path to the music on my SSD that is connected to my new Mac Mini. I think this may be the end of my relationship with BlueSound.

After trying and trying I have finally gotten the BlueSound application on my new Mac Mini computer accept the path of the music folder stored on the SSD attached to it. However, the SSD is not showing up as a Library icon in the source list above the Bluetooth icon. It will not re-index. I tried to re-index in the Diagnostics window of the application. It says "Please wait..." but then nothing. Any suggestions here?
