FLAC files on a Mac Ventura - Metadata

I am very much a newbie. I recently got a NAD M33 integrated amp and the BlueOs app. I recently downloaded flac files of one of my favorite very old albums from 1971. The BluOs network sharing uploaded the album, but with no artwork or any other information. So I used the MP3Tag app to find the information on Discogs. Reloaded the network sharing file, and the album was not there. Searched MP3TAG and found a post from Florian at MO3Tag saying that Apple Macs don't work well with flac files. So I downloaded X Lossless Decoder and converted the files (only 2 - side 1 and side 2) to ALAC. MPT3TAG tried to name the 2 files after tracks, so I fixed that. Then double checked the share files properties on my Mac and reindexed the network file share and voila - album art and each file named Side 1 / Side 2.

  Thanks. This album is not available in Apple Music or ITunes. Does Bliss use discogs to search for metadata? MP3Tag does and that was exactly what I needed. I did not previously have any metadata with the downloaded Flac files.

  Just a follow up. Turns out I didn’t wait long enough for my iMac to update sharing preferences. I have restored the original flac files and they downloaded just fine to BluOS. I also downloaded Bliss and it corrected the album artwork. All is residing on my app now. I found Bliss a little weird to work with as I could not see how to select files. It scanned all files. In any event, other than this album’s artwork, it found no issues, but I don’t know what it was looking for. Next time I’ll try Bliss first, but, for me, it’s not as transparent as MP3Tag.
