Should I be able to hear the difference between 4 bars vs 3 bars on signal strength?

I have a NODE (N130) and I subscribe to Amazon Unlimited and Radio Paradise and normally my wireless signal strength is around 3 bars(green),but sometimes my music,mainly AMZ just sounds better with more air,just sounds better...then I check my signal strength and it's 4 bars(blue),so should I be able to tell a difference between 3 bars and 4 bars on the signal strength?...my system is not that revealing,so is it all in my head and I am just imagining the better sound?Thanks,Keith
