Enable the Node 2i USB-in to handle digital streams from external sources
BeantwortetAnother opportunity / challenge resulting from Apple's upgrade to Apple Music:
I presently use their Lightning to USB Camera Adapter to output their stream from my iPhone using a DragonFly Black and input it to my Bluesound Node 2i via the analogue input. Two issues: the DragonFly doesn't support above 96 kHz; I would prefer to just stream the Adapter's output into my Node 2i to take advantage of its DAC for all levels of signal.
The present USB-in is limited to connections with external HDD only.
Is it possible from a Node 2i architecture and firmware perspective to enable the Node 2i USB-in to handle digital streams from external sources such as the above combination via a firmware upgrade?
My Apple Music subscription now gives me access for a small monthly fee to a relatively large and increasing source of HiRes material.... not to be able to harness that via my Node 2i's DAC is rather frustrating.

Input via the USB on a NODE 2i would not be possible. While USB Output on the new NODE will be available via a future update, I believe it as well will not be able to support USB as an input.

Any chance the node 2i will be able to support usb output with that same update?
