Bluesound no longer sorts Qobuz artists alphabetically
For so long as I have used Qobuz streamed through my Bluesound Node 2, I have been able to access my favorite artists alphabetically. Just a few weeks ago, this feature magically disappeared. I sort artists alphabetically in the Qobuz app and double checked to make sure my election had not changed -- it had not. I have contacted both Bluesound and Qobuz for explanation. Qobuz returned and explained that they provide the streaming and metadata, but it is the Bluesound app that is at fault. Bluesound's response is essentially not response -- no explanation as to why its sorting changed or what they are really doing about it. I'd be interested if others have this same problem. I note that Tidal streamed through Bluesound does not have this problem.

I too have this problem. For awhile most artists seemed to be fairly alphabetized but now it's backwards and newer favorited artists are then put at top. It should be easy to have an option for alphabetized or recently added so hope this feature can be added. Thanks.

Thanks but nothing changed. Will just look forward to future updates and see what happens. Excited about Apple Music going Lossless which I assume once completely out, Bluesound will have available. Love my Flex 2i speakers.

This still seems to be an issue. Any news about getting artists back in alphabetical order? Thanks.

Having just returned to Qobuz, I see that this issue remains from a few years back when I was last a subscriber (one of the reasons I gave up with Qobuz).
I have tried the suggested fix above without any success, but noted that the same issue is also present if I use my Windows laptop and access Bluesound via the desktop app, rather than the iPad iOS app that i normally use.
I have made sure that my favourite artists are ordered alphabetically with Qobuz but I have just noticed that the Qobuz 'My Account' profile page also contains a section for 'favourites' and the artists listing within that is in a similar or same random order that appears within the Bluesound apps. That suggests to me that Bluesound is pulling the favourite artists info from that source and, if that is correct, I am left wondering whether Qobuz, Bluesound or both need to reconfigure to resolve, I hope I don't end up with inaction and fingers pointing in opposite directions to resolve this simple but frustrating experience.
I should add that there is no scope to reorder the artists or albums lists within the 'favourites' section of the Qobux Account Profile section .

I read an article the other day that in spring 2023 a major update is coming to the bluOS. So I can only hope this issue is solved in version 4 of BluOS. (https://bluos.net/2023/01/bluos-announces-4-0-mobile-application-update/)

Fingers crossed!!! This alphabetized deal for Qobuz is really what I want and so many others. Overall though app needs big overhaul. Look forward to it.

I tried the recommended fix by logging out and rebooting. Still the same annoying issue of artists in random order. Hope Bluesound fix this soon with an update

I wanted to come back to this discussion, I talked with the Qobuz folks and got a not back from Dan that I wanted to share. So I totally get that you want sorting features and the team here has given all of your feedback to the team at Qobuz.
dan.mackta to @andrew.haines
The current Qobuz api does not support sorting alphabetically. There are developments being worked on that will improve customer library management features. and these will be offered to partner manufacturers when they are ready. Sorting and filters should be supported by the api by this time.1 -
Andrew, for avid music fans with thousands of favorite artists, this is a must have feature.
As add as it is that this bug hasn't been worked out, we are glad it's finally being looked at. The original post on this thread was three years ago.
Please keep us informed of the progress towards a solution.0 -
@Stephen, Thanks for the feedback. We are actively waiting for Qobuz on a number of fronts, they are working to deliver a number of customer facing updates that we can implement to improve their service overall. In the meantime we do what we can :-)

I am also frustrated that Qobuz favorites are not listed alphabetically. New to BluOS was using Logitech Media Server which is alphabetical. Trying to avoid paying for Roon. Also no lyrics available in BluOS

Was glad to be back with BluOS until I found this missing ability to list artists alphabetically. Such a fundamental and necessary feature. What a shame. BluOS has improved so much since I used it several years ago. I was hoping to cancel my ROON subscription. Not yet however...

As mentioned... Qobuz is building the structure for "My Qobuz" and updating their partner API, when that happens they have said they will include this in it. We have NO ability to sort and have stated this prior.

Thanks for the reply. I will exercise patience :)
