Bluesound Vault 2 - rubber stripping ejected along with CD

Last night after a CD had finished downloading from my Bluesound Vault 2 a strip of rubber came out of the machine along with the CD.  I pulled it off.  It continues to work fine, but is that something I should be concerned about?
