How can I clear the BluOS Controller Cache file?

My BluOS cache has a total file count of 255,666 items and it causes issues with my Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) backup. The path is:

/Library/Application Support/BluOS Controller/Cache

Can I clear this cache? Will it improve the performance of the BluOS Controller app if I clear it out or cause issues? What is the procedure to clear out the cache?

  Cached Album Artwork can be cleared by Settings, Reload Album Artwork which erases the existing cache and reload it from the Player's Index. The cache will always exist to speed up response time of the App when viewing Album Artwork
