Option to disable showing various artist albums with tracks from an artist as albums by that artist
The BlueSound app has a quirk / feature which I've started to find irritating...
If you select an artist in the artist list, you are shown albums which have that artist as the album artist - which is what I expect to happen, and what most music servers and players do.
However, BlueSound also shows you albums which have the album artist set to "various artists" which contain a track with that artist. Now, I can see that some people might find this useful, but, at least in part due to the fact that BlueSound don't support sort tags, it doesn't work very well for me!
Here's the problem. Because I want to see my artist list sorted alphabetically by surname of artist, and because sort tags are not supported, I have all my album artists set as "surname, firstname". But because I want to see the artist name properly displayed on the "now playing" screen, the artist tag for every file has the artist name as "firstname surname".
So the annoying thing is that when BlueSound tries to helpfully show me other albums which have tracks by that artist, it only does so if the artist in question isn't a name, because if it is a name, it doesn't match and isn't found by the search.
To give an example, I have Genesis in my artist list, and "Gabriel, Peter". If a Genesis track is on a "various artists" album, it is shown under Genesis in the list. But if a Peter Gabriel track is on a "va" album, it is not shown under "Gabriel, Peter", because the artist name is set to "Peter Gabriel", which is not the same.
Now, if BlueSound would support sort tags (for which I have already submitted a feature request), this inconsistent behaviour would stop as I could then have the album artist for Peter Gabriel as "Peter Gabriel" rather than "Gabriel, Peter". That would at least make the behaviour consistent for all artists.
But even with that feature, it would be really nice to make having tracks on various artist albums being shown under that artist as something that can be disabled by the user. Realistically, I don't actually ever want to see "va" albums under an artist; they're not part of that artist's discography and they just mess up the browsing experience. I can see that some people might want them, but it would be great if those of us who don't could have a switch somewhere to turn them off!
