NODE 2i Super Slow and Laggy With Tidal AMZ Music
I have a Node 2i and like many others have reported I'm experiencing mind numbing levels of lag when I search for songs, play a song, or select a new song on Tidal or Amazon Music. The issue is not present when I'm searching for songs on my Synology NAS.
- I have other network streamers in my house and have tested that this problem is not present immediately after experiencing the issue on my Node 2i
- I have also tested to see that I can search for songs, play songs, etc on my Tidal and Amazon Music apps on my phone without delay.
- I have flushed my DNS cache on my router
- My Node 2i is hardwired via a Cat 7 cable which I have switched out to ensure that it is not a defective cable.
- I have unplugged the cable and tested it using the native WiFi for the Node 2I
- Most importantly is that I've logged a ticket last week and have not heard a response from BlueSound
I bought one BlueNode 2i as a test to see if it met my needs for my office stereo system. I have 4 other stereos that are currently using a ChromeCast Audio connected via SPDIF and was hoping to upgrade them to BlueNodes but I've been having so many problems with the one that I have now that I'm at my wits end.
Why are you guys ignoring what is clearly an issue that has been reported to you by so many others? Most of the threads that I've read have responses suggesting the problem is with Tidal and not with BlueOS. Does it matter where the defect is? Your customers are experiencing a defect. True I'm also a customer of Tidal, but from my perspective, Tidal is performing fine for me on every other streaming device that I own.
My alternative solution is to build 5 Raspberry Pi's with Allo hats. I was hoping to avoid so much maintenance that would come along with it, but it's apparent that BlueOS isn't a maintenance free solution either.
