Bluesound Node 2i - Optical input from TV not selectable

I cannot get any sound from Samsung TV (circa ~2013) via optical input of the Node 2i.
My TV is set to PCM optical output yet the Node 2i and BluOS app do not have optical input as a selection. I am using the Android app.
It seems others have have similar issues, but not seeing any resolution.

Sounds like a bad connection - please check or even replace the optical cable. If problems persist, please select Help, Send Support Request so we may see the log file if the cable is being detected at all.
