NODE 2: Problems after migrating files (Library not indexing / artwork not displaying properly)
BeantwortetI migrated my music library (~170.000 files) to a new drive in my Synology NAS. I moved the files from a 2TB and a 3TB drive to a new 6TB drive in the same NAS. Filenames and folder names were kept as they were. The Node2 is not indexing the library, though. It keeps starting over and over. This seems strange because the same folder structure could be indexed on the other drives.
So, I divided the files into 4 directories. The first batch is ~50.000 files and the index failed again. I then moved half the files into a new directory and set up a new network share for that directory. That did the trick.
I am now adding the files in batches, which seems to work better. I have now successfully added 80.000 files in total. However, upon adding the last batch, the artwork OF ALL THE ALBUMS in the library got all mixed up. If any artwork is displayed at all, it is always from another album. Reloading the artwork doesn't change anything.
Also, I'd really like to keep all the music in one network share.
I'm a bit wary of rebuilding the index from scratch, as it takes overnight and there's a good chance of the Node2 displaying an empty folder structure the next day. Happened a couple of times already.
Also, there doesn't seem a way for me to access the log anymore...
Any help / any suggestions?

Hi Christian
Logs won't help you here - external Album Artwork is only updated through a Rebuild of the Index.
Move everything and then perform a Rebuild Index. If problems persist after that Rebuild Index (then a reload album artwork in the App), select Help, Send Support Request.

Thanks, for the swift response. I'll try that.
Any idea why the share are not indexed after the migration? All file and folder names are exactly the same...
Adding the files in batches is quite cumbersome.

Because the location is not the same. The server location changed, therefore the path is different and needs to be reindexed.
Bite the bullet and move them all...
