NAD new USB-DSD module for the M33 and C658 - how will it integrate win BluOS?
Hi
I'm excited about this upcoming MDC module:

I was wondering how would it integrate with the BluOS apps? Will I be able to play my local library on my desktop PC via the asynchronous USB connection, while controlling the playback from the BluOS controller apps?
A USB DAC by definition is simply an external sound card, which you can only control from the host computer. Will playback local FLAC files using this USB module improve the sound quality compared to the network-based playback for the M33 or C658?
Thanks

Hi Eli
No.
This is a product designed by and for NAD's MDC lineup and is independent of BluOS. To listen to DSD files in BluOS we still recommend our one-time conversion to FLAC rather than DoP on the fly conversion as detailed here; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360019447014
