Output Mode on Vault2i
BeantwortetHello I am using IOS App 3.12.5 and BlueOS 3.12.13 on a vault2i if I go to Audio and output mode and choose stereo, left, right, mono nothing changes - I am trying to balance my poiower amp output has levels controls for each channel so I thought I could put the unit into Mono Mode and center the sound adjusting output levels so they are the same for both channels but this function does not seem to work at all. I have tried it with fixed output volume and variable volume and disabling Replay Gain options also but nothing =seems to work.

If you, after making changes, "restart" what's playing it works.

Thanks, I will try that and let you know - on a similar note I also have the BlueOS on my MSWin8 32bit computer on same network as BlueOS and if I go into the Windows app when I go to "Audio" I can see "output" shows 4 choices "stereo" "Left" "Right" and "Mono" but all are unchecked and if I click mouse over one it will show "blue" while mouse button is held down but when I release it goes away? Version on Win8 32bit is 3.4.5 is there a newer version that fixes this?

Your solution only seems to work on the Vault2i for CD's that were ripped into the library for Tidal and TuneIn has no effect at all.

Hi Scott,
What source you use don't matter since it's the "output" you are altering.
Find a "left/right speaker test track" in Tidal, play the track, make any changes, use the "previous" button, and you will notice the change.
Left or right will be played in both output channels so it's not "easy" to hear if you are using a music track rather than a dedicated "test track"0 -
Output Mode is designed to not affect MQA files as a requirement of MQA implementation which may be what you're seeing in TIDAL.
TuneIN however may come down to the stream itself being binaural symmetry.
