Alexa Integration
BeantwortetHello Bluesound, I am having real problems getting Alexa to control my Vault 2i. I can play any preset, but that is as far as it goes. Specifically I can not play anything from my library (unless I use a preset) i.e. I can not use My Favorites, My Playlists or play a specific track/album. I have a copy of of the document "BluOS Alexa Skill Commands" and some or all of these methods are implied in this it. I have also looked thru posts of others having similar issues and can not find any definitive answer to the EXACT phases used to do this (please don't just reply with a link to the document I already have. So can you state if there is a general problem in this area and that it only works with Presets or help with the phasing or setup.
Thanks, Mark

I'd cross-check what exactly Alexa is hearing. You can usually do this in the Amazon Alexa App under Settings > Alexa Privacy > Review Voice History
Try the following commands:
"Alexa, ask BluVoice to play Alchemist by Savant in the Office"
(For BluOS Library favourites, album and artist and optionally include player's Room Name)For Tidal - "Alexa, ask BluVoice to play My Favourites from Tidal in the Office"

Hi Sam,
I have already checked the Voice History and there is no problem there. All that happens if I try to play an album or favourite is that Alexa/Bluevoice will just interpret the command as a "Start playing" in the default room, which just continues playing the previous track. I have asked Alexa/Bluevoice to pause the music before I issue the command and the same "Start playing" happens i.e. the previous track just restarts. However if I ask Alexa/Bluevoice to play a preset everything is fine.
Regards
Mark

Unfortunately I don't have an Alexa device with me to test this so it would be best to reach out to our support crew via Help > Send Support Request in the BluOS app for 1:1 help.
