Backup metadata on BlueSound Node 2i
I suppose my library's metadata are stored on the Node 2i. I use to edit them through mp3tag, and its content becomes more and more sensitive as I download more content. And my idea is that the unit is blinking white while contents are indexed, that's why I suppose metadata are stored on the unit. My question is: how can I backup the metadata on a network store? I have several disks on my Ethernet network and I can see the folders on the SAN where my library is stored. I could do a backup on a folder on the SAN, or, better if possible, on a network disk on the Ethernet. Thanks in advance.

Metadata is stored in your files, not on your Node. Your Node has it's own database, so no need for a backup.

My opinion too. The player stores it's own data/index, but on each refresh, that is renewed with actual data from the music files.
If you want you can backup the playlists you created in BluOs under Settings / player.

Are you using a USB connected directly to your NODE? If you are every time your NODE loses power you must recreate the USB Index. Don't.
1) Stop turning off your player. it is an IoT APpliance and designed to be always on and always ready meeting all EU and EPA guidelines for power consumption.
2) Get a proper NAS or at least move your USB drive to the router and create a local library. Here's why; https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/201158077

Thanks for advice, but since I purchased the BlueSound Node, I use a Western Digital My Cloud EX2 Ultra NAS on the Ethernet as a storage device. The WD NAS has two 4TB disks configured in RAID-1. The NAS contains all my documents, pictures and music, and every week I do a full backup of its content on a WD USB Drive. Just for fault tolerance and disaster recovery. :-) My question in fact was where the metadata are stored, and as now I'm sure theu are stored in my files and folders, there's no backup problem. Thanks and regards.

As Bjorn said - Bluesound is a read only system - it builds the info from the files themselves
