Bluesound RC1 remote not working anymore

Hello, 
I am using a RC1 since 2020 with my Node 2i and my two PulseFlex but since a few weeks, even when replacing the batteries, it does not work at all.

The red light on the remote is lighting up and not blinking but there is no effect on the Node for instance (the blue led used to blink when using any RC1 button).

I tried to reset the remote settings, inactivate from the player, reactivate, but still unable to use it.

As it was bought end of 2019, there is no warranty anymore, and I guess useless to send it for repair ?
