Diplaying Volume level in DB or percentage in the controller app
BeantwortetIs there any way to display the actual DB or % volume in either the Windows or IoS controller app?
If not, could this please be added to a future release? Use case: whenever you are in a different room than the player, you would like to set the volume to something you know is appropriate, even though you cant hear it. The current simple slider is much to coarse to manage accurately, and difficult to 'recall' what level aligns with what db/% the display has (I use NAD M10 and C700)
Thanks

I did some thinking about this and came up with an easy workaround. I still think it would be much preferred if the Controller apps displayed DB (or %) level...but to anyone wanting to remotely and accurately set volume, here is an easy workaround.
The command below, entered into a browser (Pc/Mac/iphone/android) that is on the same Wifi network as the Player will set the volume to the particular setting you want. The example below is set to 44. The TCP/IP address must match the player of course, in this case mine is 192.168.1.195.
http://192.168.1.195:11000/Volume&level=44 will for example set volume to 44
http://192.168.1.195:11000/Volume&mute=1 will MUTE the volume
You can also adjust volume up and down. See the API manual for more info but these are simple entries in your brower...no programming needed.
I got this info from the API manual here:
