    Replace the optical cable with a new one.

    I had a similar problem. My Node would stream from Amazon Music faultlessly. However, when switching on the Node and using the TV optical output I would hear subtle digital clicking from the speakers.
    I found that if I briefly streamed from Amazon or radio then switch back to optical input, that would resolve it.
    I haven't had the issue for several months, so assumed an update fixed it.
