Node N130 HDMI - can not use TV remote when USB out
Hi,
I'm using the Node N130 with a Cambridge CXA81 amplifier (great combo). Connected the Node with USB out from Node to the amp. And HDMI from Node to Samsung TV.
When listening to the TV I can not use the TVs remote control to change volume, must use the amps remote. Is it supposed to be like that? Does it only work when using coax out from the Node?

When using an external DAC, best practices would suggest controlling the volume at the DAC end, in this case, the amplifier. When using COAX or Optical, the Bluesound NODE cannot sense output. However, when using USB Out, all output sources are shut down and the volume is set to full fixed output. As a result, yes all CEC commands from your TV remote are ignored. In short, not possible via USB.

Thanks for your reply! And the million dollar question... Is the sound better (music) using USB or coax? Whats your recommendation?

1s and 0s are theoretically 1s and 0s... that being said, that question is best answered by your ears, not mine. Go with what sounds better to you.

Ok!
But the USB will override the coax always? Ie, there is no point having a coax and USB at the same time?/Peter
