BluOS Controller app 4.x.x
You can pair your Bluetooth headphones to select Bluesound Players using the BluOS Controller App.
Connect Bluetooth Headphones
Android/iOS - Connect Bluetooth Headphones
- In the BluOS Controller App, select the Players tab . The list of players connected to the BluOS Controller App is displayed.
- Select the required Player’s context menu (3 dots) and select Bluetooth Headphones. A list of available Bluetooth receivers is displayed under DEVICES.
- Select the required Bluetooth headphones from the list. Once paired, the Bluetooth headphone is moved to MY DEVICES and is indicated as Connected.
- Tap Finish.
You can now stream audio directly via the connected Bluetooth headphones.
The name of the connected headphones is displayed in the Now Playing Control. The quality indicator on the right indicates if your connected headphones are AptX certified.
The name of the headphones is also mentioned under the connected player with a Bluetooth logo on the player icon in the Players tab .
Windows/macOS - Connect Bluetooth Headphones
- In the BluOS Controller App, select the Player Drawer.
- Select the required Player's context menu (3 dots) and select Bluetooth Headphones. A list of available Bluetooth receivers is displayed under DEVICES.
- Select the required Bluetooth headphones from the list. Once paired, the Bluetooth headphone is moved to MY DEVICES and is indicated as Connected.
- Select X to exit the Bluetooth Headphones setup window.
You can now stream audio directly via the connected Bluetooth headphones.
The name of the connected headphones is displayed on the Now Playing Screen. The quality indicator on the right indicates if your connected headphones are AptX certified.
The name of the headphones is also mentioned under the connected player with a Bluetooth logo on the player icon in the Player Drawer.
Disconnect Bluetooth Headphones
Android/iOS - Disconnect Bluetooth Headphones
- In the BluOS Controller App, select the Players tab .
- Select the Bluetooth Headphones-connected player’s context menu (3 dots) and select Bluetooth headphones.
- Under MY DEVICES, select the overflow menu (3 dots) of the connected Bluetooth headphones, and select Disconnect. (To reconnect, select the Bluetooth headphones under MY DEVICES).
Note: To unpair and forget the device, select the overflow menu (3 dots) of the connected Bluetooth headphones, and select Forget this device.
Windows/macOS - Disconnect Bluetooth Headphones
- In the BluOS Controller App, select the Player Drawer.
- Select the Bluetooth Headphones-connected player’s context menu (3 dots) and select Bluetooth headphones.
- Under MY DEVICES, select the overflow menu (3 dots) of the connected Bluetooth headphones, and select Disconnect. (To reconnect, select the Bluetooth headphones under MY DEVICES).

Bluetooth headphones can be paired with the following models:
- The PULSE FLEX 2i is not a Bluetooth transmitter and cannot output to Bluetooth Headphones.
- When listening to MQA content with the Bluetooth headphones paired, the BluOS Controller app will display an HR (High Resolution) icon instead of an MQA icon. This is because the MQA processor cannot determine the MQA capabilities of Bluetooth headphones. The content will be decoded based on the capabilities of the paired headphones.

Note: The BluOS Interface swap feature (BluOS 3.x.x to/from BluOS 4.x.x) will be discontinued with the release of the latest BluOS firmware in mid-Spring 2024.
Now, you can pair your Bluetooth headphones to select Bluesound devices using the BluOS Controller App.
Connect
